Where we are
FONNI (Nu). Deledda wrote: "Adagiato sulle falde del Gennargentu quale avvoltoio a riposo" (It lies on the slopes of the Gennargentu massif like a resting vulture). Fonni is the highest village in Sardinia, at an altitude of 1000 metres above sea level in the Barbagia region. The origin of the name is unknown but it is thought that it has a Phoenician derivation: from the word "phanna" which means highness, nice appearance, fine view. Other sources show an origin from the old town of Sorabile, which was demolished before the vandals destroyed the Roman Empire, the ruins of which can still be seen. An ancient shepherd civilisation that shaped landscapes, traditions and lifestyles; a people whose festivities convey a profound meaning and ancient values where faith and superstition interweave.

What we do
We organize guided tours: environmental, archaeological, cultural and gastronomic tours, into the wonderful scenario of Gennargentu.
